The 25th edition of MAPIC looks promising for Spanish and Portuguese companies. More than 8,000 registered participants await the start of this new event in which Iberian will have more than 50 exhibitors and coexhibitors.
MAPIC, the leading fair for retailers, will take place on November 13, 14 and 15 in the French city of Cannes, where more than 8,500 companies from the retail, F&B and leisure sector will congregate. The most influential players in the market will meet at the Palais des Festivals to discuss the future of the industry, the impact of Leisure in shopping centres or how to face the new era of e-commerce among other issues.
This year the fair features as great news with Leisure Day, a day dedicated 100% to leisure to be held the day before the inauguration (Tuesday, November 12), the MAPIC Innovation Forum dedicated to retail innovation and digitalization and finally the Retailers Lounge, an area dedicated exclusively to this group of participants.
As MAPIC Director, Nathalie Depetro points out, “retail is a sector that now combines culture, leisure, restoration, art, etc.” Consumers are looking for an experience when they go shopping and that is what leisure can offer. This twenty-fifth edition will help us to see how lifestyle destinations are created and how brands do to continue attracting traffic in their physical spaces.

aRetail Prime Locations (Palais -1. K10)
aReatail is a company focused on the search, recruitment, management and advice on sales processes and rental of commercial premises. With more than 10 years in this sector, it has become one of the benchmarks in Spain and has the best stores in the most prime streets of the main cities of the country.
Asociación Española de Centros y Parques Comerciales (AECC) (Riviera 7. C21)
One more year the AECC stand will be present at the fair, which in this edition has managed to group up to 18 Spanish companies to seek opportunities, new business paths or find partners for future projects.
ACTIV GROUP, ATALAYA SUPERFICIES COMERCIALES, CINESA, GENTALIA, GHESA, GLEEDS IBERCIA, GLOBAL ARMORICA, HERBERT SMITH FREEHILLS SPAIN, HYPHEN ARCHI, L35 ARCHITECTS, MANUBENS ABOGADOS, MERLIN PROPERTIES, MRC GROUP, OASE, ORION CAPITAL MANAGERS, PERFUMERIAS DRUNI, SHOPHUNTERS y TECNOTRON are the companies that will form the stand of the AECC.
One year more, the AECC will organize a round table to discuss about the situation of retail in Spain. The conference called, Snapshot Spain “Retail in Spain: thumbs up!” will take place Wednesday at 4:45 pm on the Conference Room -1, in the Palais des Festivals.
Bogaris Retail (Riviera 7. H2)
Bogaris is one of the Spanish companies with more area for commercial use available. With presence in the markets of Spain, Portugal, Romania and Bulgaria, Bogaris Retail promotes and manages different types of commercial properties.
In this MAPIC edition they will be promoting the Torrecardenas Shopping Centre in Almeria, a “retail park” in León, the new Costco Wholesale store in Madrid and the new Alto de Lisboa Retail Park.
Castellana Properties (Palais -1. G61)
It is one of the leading investment companies in Spain. Castellana Properties is mainly engaged in the acquisition, management and rehabilitation of retail real estate assets. Their presence in MAPIC will help them to promote some of their shopping centres such as Granaita (the largest shopping centre in Granada), the recent acquisitions of El Corte Inglés in Bahía Sur (Cádiz) and Los Arcos (Sevilla), Paint Park in Murcia and Puerta Europa in Algeciras.
InmoRed – The International Retail Network (Riviera 7. F31)
Inmored is one of the most important retail consultancies in Spain and has offices in more than ten European countries in addition to the United States. They offer services of market analysis, property management and sale and acquisition of assets.
This year they have organized a Cocktail in their stand on Wednesday at 5pm.
Kronos – Wit Retail (Palais -1. E67)
This group has professionals with more than 25 years in the sector and its main work is commercial promotion and everything that encompasses: feasibility studies, marketing, management, etc. This year they will go to MAPIC to present some of their latest projects, such as the Vidanova Parc in Valencia, the San Cibrao Das Viñas in Orense or the Dos Hermanas shopping centre in Seville.
